Jun 11, 2020 · The only thing you NEED to know regarding “iPlayer not working with a VPN” is that the BBC only blocks IP addresses. It doesn’t actually block VPNs. However, if the VPN you use only provides you with access to IP addresses that are blocked by the Beeb, you obviously won’t be able to watch iPlayer while using it.

As long as you’re using a VPN that detects and swaps out blocked IP addresses, disconnecting and reconnecting will let you watch the iPlayer. I found this on another community chat ' iplayer suddenly not working on UE22H5600 or UE485700' . I have tried it and it worked on mine. I did not have to do the second part. I am not sure why it has not been added to this thread. It was added about 3 hours ago. Whether it still works tomorrow is another matter.
